Greek mythology, as in other ancient cultures, was used as a means to explain the environment in which humankind lived, the natural phenomena they witnessed and the passing of time through the days, months, and seasons.
Today we will focus on Slavic mythology goddesses. Slavic goddesses are fewer in number but they have important attributes. Here are the goddesses venerated by the ancient Slavs: Morana (Morena, Mara, Maruha) is the goddess of death, of winter and of night. In some Slavic tribes, she is also the goddess of unhappiness in love.
